In the global gaming monitor market, Samsung Electronics has maintained its position as the market leader for six consecutive years. Additionally, in the rapidly growing OLED monitor sector, Samsung has secured the top market share for two straight years, drawing significant attention.

According to Chosun Biz, citing data from research firm IDC, Samsung holds a 21% market share by sales in the 2024 global gaming monitor market (monitors with refresh rates above 144Hz), ranking first worldwide. LG Electronics follows in second place with a 13.1% share, while TPV Technology's AOC brand ranks third with 10.9%.

Analysts attribute Samsung's leadership to innovative products and technologies such as the Odyssey Ark, Odyssey OLED, and Odyssey 3D series, which have driven growth in the gaming monitor market.

Moreover, in the influential North American gaming monitor market, Samsung achieved a record-high market share of 27.5%, securing first place. LG Electronics and Asus follow with shares of 18.7% and 11.5%.

Samsung has actively promoted its gaming monitors recently. For example, at the end of March 2025, Samsung hosted a large-scale showcase event at the Fairmont Austin hotel in Texas, inviting key North American channel partners to experience new models including the Odyssey 3D, Odyssey OLED G8, and Odyssey G9.

On another front, Samsung also dominated the 2024 global OLED monitor market with a 34.6% market share, marking its second consecutive year as the category leader. Notably, LG Electronics holds a 21% share, meaning that South Korean companies collectively control over 50% of this market.

Furthermore, shipments of OLED monitors reached 1.24 million units in 2024, representing more than a sixteenfold increase compared to 2022.
