UMC and PSMC cut into supply chain for AI chips

Pure-play foundries United Microelectronics (UMC) and Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing (PSMC) have received orders for Si interposers, allowing them to enter the supply chain for in-demand AI GPUs, according to industry sources.
