PTI quoted sources saying that Apple planned to scale up production value from US$7 billion in the last financial year to US$40 billion in the next 4-5 years amid India's rising demands for and growing exports of iPhones.

India reportedly to impose quota restrictions for imported notebooks and tablets

Reuters and The Economic Times, citing respective sources, reported that India may withdraw license requirements for imported notebooks, tablets, all-in-one PCs, and ultra-slim form factors and replace them with an import authorization system that imposed quota limitation for imported computers.

Samsung reportedly to make notebooks in India

Mint quoted sources saying that Samsung planned to invest INR1-2 billion (US$12–24 million) to make up to 60,000–70,000 notebooks annually at its Noida manufacturing facility, Samsung's largest mobile phone manufacturing plant.
