Aiello, a Taiwanese start-up specializing in voice AI services, has joined forces with Wistron to unveil an intelligent delivery solution. This cooperative platform, functioning through cloud integration, introduces automated services tailored for hospitality providers. The objective of this endeavor is to heighten operational efficiency, tackle labor shortages, and enhance the quality of guest interactions.

Qida Huang, deputy director of AI and Robotics R&D division at Wistron, explained that one key application of service robots involves integrating voice AI interactions into smart delivery robots. Aiello's voice assistant (AVA) has already been deployed in over 10,000 rooms across 80 hotels. This device, seamlessly integrated with a task management system (TMS), empowers accommodation providers to digitally oversee dispatches and automate scheduling, streamlining the handling of delivery requests. The AVA and Wistron's Wifundity autonomous mobile robots (AMR) are interconnected via the cloud, granting customers the ability to issue voice commands to AVA. These instructions are then relayed to the Wifundity, where robots execute tasks such as delivering items. Additionally, Aiello collaborates with other robot providers to enable AVA to receive voice commands for luggage robots, facilitating luggage delivery to specified rooms.

Founded in 2019, Aiello stands as one of the few Taiwanese companies focused on Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology and the successful development of commercial software. Their methodology involves harnessing a range of AI models, encompassing OpenAI's GPT-3.5, Google's BERT, and other open-source models. Notable investors include JAFCO Asia, Wistron, and Cornerstone Ventures. Aiello places emphasis on the integration of ChatGPT and domain-specific language models tailored for the hospitality sector as a noteworthy direction for AI applications. AVA not only elevates the operational efficiency of individual operators but also seamlessly interfaces with the world's largest accommodation management system, saving operators time on training and system learning expenditures.
