With both summer and the job-seeking season approaching, Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) has launched SEMI University, an online semiconductor learning platform. It comes with six free courses that cover entry-level knowledge and skills required for the semiconductor industry. The expectation is that these resources can help students and job-seekers explore the fundamentals of the industry and gain access to more internship opportunities and future career choices.

SEMI University's learning resources have four highlights to quickly usher internship talents into the semiconductor industry.

Highlight 1: Semiconductor industry experts worldwide come together to ensure robust course planning and content

With over 50 years of experience, SEMI has connected over 2,500 semiconductor companies and more than 1.3 million professionals worldwide. SEMI University is developed in collaboration with these professionals. The platform condenses cutting-edge semiconductor knowledge into 360 courses, empowering new talents to strengthen their capabilities and establish a solid foundation for their future careers.

Highlight 2: Basic knowledge+process analysis+career guidance to initiate one's semiconductor journey in six courses.

The six free courses of SEMI University cover the topics of semiconductor introduction, engineering design process, creative computing with entry-level Scratch programming, logic gates and binary calculations, microchips and solar panels, as well as high-tech career exploration. This series of courses aim to help students quickly understand the semiconductor and high-tech industries by combining foundational knowledge with process analysis, with the hope of guiding them to identify their future career paths.

Highlight 3: Background and education don't matter; even non-STEM students can easily get started.

SEMI University's courses are tailored for students from all majors. The course content breaks down the fundamental knowledge and skills. Key points refined by the industry experts are incorporated in an easy-to-understand manner. Even non-STEM students with no prior experience in the semiconductor industry can pick up this material in no time.

Highlight 4: Remote learning from home; explore the world of semiconductors without concern

To allow students to attend classes anytime, anywhere, the SEMI University platform adopts online learning methods that remove time and space limitations. Additionally, students can schedule their own course progress as they desire, allowing them to control their pace and make the learning process smoother.

Registration and more details of the courses can be found on the official website.
