Taiwan's top-2 panel makers AU Optronics (AUO) and Innolux continue to roll out new high-end display solutions. The former is showcasing the world's highest refresh rate on its 24-inch FHD 540Hz ultra-fast gaming display panel at the 2023 Touch Taiwan-Display International running April 19-21 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, while the latter also launches a smart networked display and many other advanced solutions.
AUO pointed out that besides the refresh rate of up to 540Hz, its new offering can support dynamic refresh rate adjustments, eliminate screen tearing, stuttering and ghost issues, and help boost gaming win-rates.
To satisfy the needs of gamers, the company also debuts its 49-inch 5K 360Hz curved gaming display panel. With its 32:9 ultra-wide display and R1000 curvature, the product can create a complete immersive gaming experience for gamers, the company said.
AUO also exhibits an advanced version of its commercial ALED display, which adopts a fine-pitch seamless technology that is infinitely extendable to overcome size restrictions and satisfy the needs of various shapes and sizes in display applications. The display technology can be utilized to build an immersive home theater in cooperation with the video sector.
In accelerating its deployments in commercial applications, AUO has also worked with stage equipment suppliers and system integrators to optimize the case design of its ALED modules to facilitate installations and reduce the risk of damage during transportation.
The company said its ALED display can be widely used in retrial, situation rooms, museums, planetariums, entertainment ventures, and large concerts.
Meanwhile, Innolux unveils The Variety, a smart networked display, which marks a breakthrough over traditional single-function display. The new solution can serve multiple purposes such as multimedia video, gaming, Internet access, video conferencing, and even world processing, without the need for a separate computer.
Innolux also launches a variety of smart entertainment, gaming and commercial solutions at the show, including a 14-inch ultra-light anti-peep notebook monitor, 16-inch aurora pure black notebook screen, and 27-inch ultra-fast QHD IGZO gaming display with a refresh rate of 480Hz.
To comply with the trend of ESG sustainability, Innolux also presents a 14-inch eco-friendly NB and 27-inch ultra-competitive UHD gaming display, which adopt a recycled weight ratio of 34% and 21.28%, respectively, making them green electronics products.
In exploring smart home business opportunities, the company also rolls out a 24-inch wireless mobile smart display with 365-degree rotating touch function and a body size of only 25mm, which also supports smart system and streaming OTT audio and video platform. It is suitable for home office, online meeting, distance learning, audio and video entertainment, and other diverse experiences.
