Chinese IC equipment maker NAURA Technology expects maximum 141.3% net income growth for 2022

On January 11, China-based semiconductor equipment maker NAURA Technology Group announced its revenue forecast for calendar year 2022. The company estimates its 2022 revenue to be in the range of CNY13.5 - 15.6 billion (approx. US$2 - 2.3 billion), an increase of 39.41% - 61.1% compared to 2021. Net income is estimated to reach between CNY2.1 - 2.6 billion, an annal increase of 94.9% - 141.3%.

According to NAURA, it has taken multiple measures in 2022 to shield the company's operation from the pandemic and supply-chain disruptions. As indicated by a report from the Chinese media Ijiwei, multiple new equipment produced by NAURA have been successfully applied to 28nm process technology.

In October, a NAURA subsidiary was added to the Unverified List published by the US Department of Commerce, even though it was later removed in December following cooperation with US authorities. As revealed by the '2023 Asia Supply Chain (ASC) Top 100 Market Cap Companies Ranking' released on Jan 5 by DIGITIMES Research, NAURA Technology Group saw its market cap dropping by 39.9% compared to 2021, reaching US$17.3 billion.

Currently, NAURA Technology Group focuses on producing manufacturing equipment for four sectors, namely semiconductor, vaccum technology, EV and energy storage and precision components. Beijing NAURA Microelectronics Equipment Co., the company's semiconductur division, produces equipments used for various stage of semiconductor production, such as plasma etching, physical vapor deposition (PVD), chemical vapor deposition (CVD), oxidation/diffusion, and cleaning system.

Apart from IC manufacturing, NAURA Microelectronics is also engaged in advanced packaging, LED, MEMS, power electronics, flat panel displays and photovoltaic cells.
