Taiwan's exports totaled US$28.20 billion in July 2020, growing 3.9% sequentially and 0.4% on year, while the month's imports reached US$22.83 billion, rising 2.4% on sequentially but falling 0.8% on year, according to the Ministry of Finance (MOF).
Electronic components were the top export category with US$10.975 billion in July, decreasing 0.9% sequentially but increasing 15.5% on year, with ICs accounting for 89.7%.
Exports of US$186.21billion and imports of US$159.49 billion for January-July grew 0.5% and slipped 1.3% respectively on year.
