Apex International, a provider of PCBs mainly for TVs and other home appliances, saw its cumulative 2018 revenues through November exceed the NT$10 billion (US$326 million) mark.
Apex reported consolidated revenues fell 18.5% sequentially but grew 9% from a year earlier to NT$1.01 billion in November 2018. Revenues for the first 11 months of 2018 increased 6.4% from a year ago to NT$10.33 billion.
Apex is set to enjoy a particularly strong fourth quarter of 2018 thanks mainly to the ramp-up of its auto PCB production, company CEO Bill Chou was quoted as saying in previous reports. Sales of Apex' auto PCBs have risen as a proportion of company revenues to about 10%, and the percentage is forecast to reach 15% in 2019, according to Chou.
Chou also expressed optimism about Apex' product ASP and sales performance in 2019, and identified the company's automotive PCBs and 10-layer boards as the two major growth drivers next year.
