IC distributors WPG Holdings and WT Microelectronics have reported October revenues decreased 13.1% and 5%, respectively, on month.
WPG announced consolidated revenues of NT$44.3 billion (US$1.4 billion) for October 2016, down around 5% on year. The company's cumulative 2016 revenues through October totaled NT$441.85 billion, rising 5.3% from a year earlier.
WT Micro posted consolidated revenues of NT$14.94 billion for October 2016, up 64.6% from a year ago. Revenues totaled 113.631 billion for the first 10 months of the year, an increase of 19.5% compared to the same period in 2015.
WPG generated revenues of NT$142.26 billion in the third quarter of 2016, up 6.4% sequentially, while net profits climbed to a record high of NT$1.87 billion.
Market watchers expect WPG's fourth-quarter revenues to register flat or slight growth sequentially.
WT Micro expects to post revenues of between NT$41.5 billion and NT$44 billion in the fourth quarter of 2016 which will mark the second consecutive quarter of record revenues for the company.
