Touchscreen controller IC vendor Elan Microelectronics has reported consolidated revenues of NT$601 million (US$19.04 million) for July, representing a 10.92% increase on month and 16.04% increase on year.
Accumulated 2016 revenues through July totaled NT$3.553 billion, decreasing 4.53% from a year earlier.
Elan is expected to see shipments of its notebook-use finger print sensors, which are developed in cooperation with Sweden-based Precise Biometrics, increase significantly in the third quarter of 2016 thanks to increasing orders from first-tier notebook vendors, according to a Chinese-language PChome.com report.
The company's stock priced edged up NT$0.15 to finish at NT$38.05 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) during the August 8 session.
