Korea market: Pantech reenters smartphone market, says report

Korea-based handset vendor Pantech has made a reentry into Korea's smartphone market launching a new model, the SKY IM-100, according to a Korea-based ET News report.

The SKY IM-100 features a 5.15-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 CPU and a 3,000mAh battery with 32GB ROM/2GB RAM, priced at KRW449,900 (US$391) unlocked, the report said.

The SKY IM-100, which also supports wireless charging, targets the mid-range smartphone segment, noted the report, adding that Pantech aims to ship up to 300,000 units of the new model.
