Xiaomi Technology has unveiled its new Mi Max smartphone, which features a 6.44-inch Full HD 342ppi display, the biggest smartphone the vendor has ever launched. Along with the large-size smartphone, the company also unveiled its new smartphone platform, the MIUI 8.
The Mi Max sports an all-metal body with a slim profile of 7.5mm, a fingerprint sensor, and a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an f/2.0 aperture as well as a 5-megapixel front camera also with an f/2.0 aperture.
The Mi Max will be available starting May 17 in three variants: CNY1,499 (US$230) for the 3GB RAM/32GB ROM model powered by a 1.8GHz 6-core Snapdragon 650 processor; CNY1,699 for the 3GB RAM/64GB ROM model powered by a 1.8GHz 8-core Snapdragon 652 CPU, and CNY 1,999 for the 4GB RAM/128GB ROM model powered by a Snapdragon 652 CPU.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is currently developing new smart band products and will unveil the new wearable devices in June, according to company CEO Lei Jun.
