Yen Sun to take cautious approach about Volkswagen emissions scandal

Taiwan-based Yen Sun Technology, an automotive cooling module supplier of Volkswagen, has said the company is still evaluating the possible impacts from the emissions scandal hitting the Geman automaker, and will start strengthening its home appliance sales, looking to minimize the damage.

In 2014, Yen Sun had 50% of its revenues contributed by the home appliance business, and the rest by automotive cooling product business. Volkswagen and Daimler are both clients of Yen Sun's automotive cooling business, some market watchers pointed out.

Yen Sun expects its revenues from automotive cooling product business to drop 15% on year in 2015 mainly because clients are preparing to release new cars and its revenues from the business should start recovering in the fourth quarter. The company is looking to maintain its overall revenues in 2015 at a level similar to those in 2014 with help from the home appliance business.
