Epistar acquires GaN-on-Si technology from Allos

Taiwan-based LED epitaxial wafer and chip maker Epistar has announced is has received a license for GaN-on-Si technology from Germany-based Allos Semiconductors and the two firms have already completed the first phase of technology transfer.
