Backend house King Yuan Electronics (KYEC) expects its 2015 sales to outperform last year's levels, thanks to continued strong demand for mobile devices and rising demand for auto electronics and IoT applications.

KYEC has seen clear order visibility through May, the company disclosed.

KYEC posted consolidated revenues of NT$1.25 billion (US$39.6 million) in February 2015, up 11.9% from a year ago. Revenues amounted to NT$2.64 billion for the first two months of 2015, rising 16.1% from NT$2.27 billion a year earlier.

Market watchers expect KYEC to report double-digit revenue growth for 2015.

KYEC provides backend services for memory chips, LCD driver ICs, logic and mixed-signal ICs, and MEMS, with clients mainly fabless chipmakers. Non-Taiwan based clients have accounted for 49% of KYEC's total revenues.
