Acer online ticket services deserve praise, says founder

Acer's recently handling of online ticket sales for concerts by Taiwan-based singer Jody Chiang through its cloud system was a success despite some quarrels during the process, according to Acer's founder Stan Shih.

Regarding serious lags encountered during the process, Shih said the problem was mainly because the website's interface is not friendly and clear enough, but the company's work still deserves praise.

It was a big challenge for Acer's cloud system to handle the huge traffic during a short period of time, Acer's chairman George Huang said earlier.

All 90,000 tickets for nine concerts were snapped up within 30 minutes on January 25, Acer said.

Chiang announced earlier in 2015 that she was ending her singing career in the year with 16 farewell concerts.
