LCD monitor panel pricing has increased in September by roughly US$0.10-0.30 for units sized 19- to 23-inch, according to statistics from DisplaySearch.

LCD monitors have seen weak demand on the consumer side but positive results in the commercial segment, leading to a demand increase for 19- and 19.5-inch units, which bumped up panel pricing by US$0.10 and US$0.30 respectively as of mid-September. Additionally, 23-inch units saw an increase of US$0.10-0.20.

In terms of 15.6-inch notebook panels, pricing is expected to increase US$0.20-0.40 throughout September. Notebook panel makers are showing signs they will continue to produce limited amounts of supply in order to prevent price declines, and are also focusing production more on tablet applications.

DisplaySearch also noted that 32-inch WXGA open cell TV panels have increased US$1, driven largely by holiday demand in the third quarter.
