Equipped with a single Adaptec 8805 Series 8 12Gb/s SAS adapter, the eDrawer4072 system can manage 72x hot-swappable 3.5" SAS/SATA top-load hard disk bays, plus additional 8x 2.5"-7mm SSD drive bays for total 80x bays, all in a slim 4U space. The latest 12G SAS technology offered by the Adaptec 8805 controller together with the 8x SSD drives enable this system to offer superior IOPs performance and gross capacity unmatched by the competitions. A total of over 4 Petabytes of raw disk storage plus 80 Terabytes of flash can be supported in a single 42U rack.
Designed and optimized for datacenter environments, eDrawer4072 storage server offers front I/O ports and top-load hot-swap hard disk bays that can also be easily accessed from the front of the rack. The ultra-density design maximizes the space utilization in the datacenters.
