Mobile phone testing company Sporton International and the Global Certification Forum (GCF) will jointly hold a symposium in Taipei from April 8-11 to discuss related testing technology and solutions for the mobile communication industry.
The symposium will be divided into two major groups, with the Conformance and Interoperability Agreement Group (CAG) to discuss testing standards for the consistency and interoperability of mobile devices, and the GCF Field Trial Agreement Group (FTAG) to discuss norms and standards for the development, maintenance and establishment of testing networks, according to Sporton chairman Wen-liang Huang.
The increasing popularity of large-size displays in mobile devices, and significant growth in data usage have made testing procedures more complicated, which will translate into more business opportunities for Sporton, Huang added.
The continual roll-outs of 4G LTE hand-held devices and increasing demand for testing services from the networking device industry are likely to push Sporton's revenues to a new high in 2014, Huang stated.
