The growing popularity of the industrial PC industry in recent years has attracted many Taiwanese vendors. Unlike the PC industry, which is geared to bulk sales of standard products, the industrial PC industry has focused on small-volume, large-variety orders. Industrial PC players need to accumulate long-term experience before they can provide tailor-made solutions targeting each industry's specific needs. Thanks to the characteristics of the industrial PC market, Vecow is able to stand out amid intense competition with a thorough understanding of industry needs.

Focusing on the industrial applications of machine vision, analog and digital analytics surveillance, intelligent automation, and multi-port Ethernet connections, Vecow has developed a wide range of products including Multi-GigE, Optic Fiber on-board, network cards, fanless embedded computing systems, and industrial PCs. "Instead of covering a broad range of business, we decided to focus on enhancing our specialties," said Vecow CEO Eric Yu.

With a clear-cut positioning strategy and the ability to provide outstanding solutions centered on fanless industrial PCs, Vecow has formed partnerships with vendors from many industries in the transition towards automation such as big data, vehicle assembly, food processing, logistics, Internet of Things (IOT), and touch screen manufacturing industries. Since fans create major problems in industrial settings, the fanless design will significantly reduce the risk of system downtime.

To discard the use of fans for cooling, a breakthrough mechanical design is required. Featuring an extruded aluminum enclosure, Vecow's ECS-7000 series provides rapid heat dissipation. The fanless, wide-temperature ECS-7000 series is equipped with a third generation Intel Core processor (6M Cache, up to 3.30 GHz), dual channel DDR3L, and five-display support (2 DP, DVI-D, VGA, and LVDS).

In addition, the series supports up to 10 Gigabit modules, CFast, two 2.5-inch SATA 3 HDD or SSDs, four COM ports, four USB3.0 ports, JST connectors, and two miniPCI-express. The specifications not only meet customers' existing demand but also provide room for future expansions. Vecow's ECS-7000 series have been widely applied to big data, IOT, machine vision, intelligent automation, security surveillance, and various embedded systems. It is worthy of note that the ECS-7000 series offers a wide operating temperature range from -25 degrees C to 70 degrees C, and thus is able to work in harsh environments.

"We are more than a hardware vendor," said Yu. "With professional experience in I/O, electronics, mechanical parts, and software support, we are able to provide comprehensive and profound services for our customers, thereby shortening system integrators' development time dramatically." The experience, according to Yu, is Vecow's key to winning customers. Vecow will continue to increase the proportion of its customized services. At this moment, sales of standardized products and customized services account for 60% and 40% of Vecow's business respectively.

To bring Vecow's solutions to more customers around the world, the company will take part in two international exhibitions to be held respectively on the east and west coasts of the United States in April. One is ISC West 2014 in Las Vegas from April 2 to 4 (Booth 16141) and the other is Vision Show 2014 in Boston from April 15 to 17 (Booth 509). You are more than welcome to visit us at the events.
