China touch panel makers are bumping up production of bezel-free touch panels in 2014, according to industry sources.
China's largest maker O-Film has reportedly produced 5-inch bezel-free touch panels for use in smartphones in addition to Truly Optoelectronics, which recently began producing bezel-free OGS products.
The sources said bezel-free touch panels are likely to become a major trend in the market and may give makers an advantage amid increased compeition.
Digitimes Research added that O-Film is continuing to expand its production capacity and entering supply chains of international-based tablet and notebook makers, which will give it 66.4% shipment growth in 2014.
