Wah Hong reports decreased October performance

Optical film maker Wah Hong has reported that its October 2013 consolidated revenues reached NT$896 million (US$30.43 million), down 10.76% on month and down 1.48% on year.

Demand for optical film was down in China as well as in North America and Europe during the month. Wah Hong's proportion of China-based customers has increased during 2013 and low demand during the October 1 holiday period in China affected the company's performance.

Wah Hong reportedly is seeing most orders from the tablet segment while orders for products used in TVs have fluctuated during the year.

The company expects performance in fourth-quarter 2013 to decline due to seasonality.
