ASE September sales rise, SPIL flat

Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE) saw September sales of its core IC ATM (assembly test and material) business grow 4.1% on month, while fellow firm Siliconware Precision Industries (SPIL) reported a flat sequential increase.
