Taiwan-based TFT-LCD panel maker HannStar Display shipped 27.889 million small- to medium-size panels in July, decreasing 2.3% on month, and 77,000 panels used in LCD monitors and for own-brand sale, increasing 16.7%, according to the company.
HannStar had consolidated revenues of NT$2.789 billion (US$93.0 million) for July dropping 5.33% on month and 11.32% on year and those of NT$19.532 billion for January-July dipping on year by 5.92%.
HannStar will acquire 103 OGS (one glass solution)-bonding machines from affiliate HannsTouch Solution at a total price of NT$331.08 million, with the equipment to be used by its eastern China-based subsidiary.
