China Mobile, the largest mobile telecom carrier in China, has procured about 200,000 TD-LTE terminal devices from a number of China-based and international suppliers, according to industry sources in Taiwan.
The procurement comprised of: about 150,000 MiFi wireless routers from Huawei Device, ZTE, Nationz Technologies, Datang Telecom Technology, Desay Electronics, Fujian RuiTel Information & Technology, Rousing, Datang Mobile Communications Equipment, UTStarcom and Primemobi; about 30,000 dongles from Huawei, CSMC, UTStarcom and Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell; about 20,000 home-use CPE units from Huawei, ZTE, CSMC; and some TD-LTE smartphones from Huawei, ZTE, Samsung Electronics, Beijing Beny Wave Technology, Coolpad and Sony, the sources said.
