Optical film maker Wah Hong Industrial is expected to reach NT$3 billion (US$101.6 million) in revenues during the second quarter of 2013 largely due to increased demand for materials used in TV applications, according to industry sources.

Additionally, Wah Hong reached revenues of NT$1.43 billion in April, up 10.5% on month and up 15.35% on year. The company saw steady demand for diffuser and light guide plates during the period and expects to continue seeing demand throughout the second quarter.

Wah Hong has also invested in touch panel ITO thin film plant Jun Hong Optronics, which has two production lines for a combined total production capacity of 100,000 square meters, the sources added.
