Taiwan April CPI goes up, says DGBAS

Taiwan's April 2013 consumer price index (CPI) of 102.04 (2011 as base year) increased by 0.6% on month and by 1.04% on year, while the corresponding wholesale price index (WPI) of 96.76% slipped by 0.66% on month and by 3.69% on year, according to the Directorate-General Budget, Accounting and Statistics (DGBAS).

For January-April, the average CPI of 102.2 rose by 1.62% and the average WPI of 97.12 dropped by 3.23% on year, DGBAS indicated.
