Wah Hong Industrial, a Taiwan-based maker of optical film used in LCD panels, generated record consolidated revenues of NT$1.021 billion (US$34.0 million) for July, growing by 14.34% on month and by 13.26% on year, while January-July consolidated revenues of NT$6.222 billion rose on year by 1.46%, according to the company.

The record consolidated revenues were mainly due to increased orders for composite film, brightness enhancement film and reflection film from China-based clients as well as increased demand for thermal conductive materials from clients in Taiwan, Wah Hong indicated. Wah Hong's China subsidiary makers in Qingdo, Huizhou and Xiamen saw significant growth in July revenues, the company indicated.

Wah Hong expects growing demand for optical film and increased orders for functional engineering materials from Japan-based clients as well as shipments of new products, including electrical and thermal conductive plastic materials, in the second half of 2012.
