Flexible PCB maker Career Technology plans to ramp up its capacity by 30% in the second half of 2012, focusing on the production of high-end FPCBs, according to company president Wu Yung-hui.
For the capacity ramp-up, the company also plans to revise upward its capex budget for 2012 from the NT$1 billion (US$33.81 million) it projected previously, Wu noted.
Sales of high-end FPCBs currently account 3-5% of Career's total revenues, but Wu expects the ratio to climb substantially in the next 1-2 years.
Additionally, sales in the second half of 2012 will contribute 60% of the company's revenues generated in the year compared to 55% recorded in previous years, Wu added.
