Handset-design company Chip Hope has launched its own SkySafe-brand high-end Android smartphone, the VIP 007, featuring built-in hardware encryption, targeting the business sector and consumers who require a high-degree of security for mobile communications.
Chip Hope claimed that its VIP 007 smartphone supports RSA-2048 technology, and the device has received CCEAL 5+ certification from the US-based National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP). The VIP 007 also supports NFC standards, the company added.
Chip Hope also offers customized SkySafe smartphones, said the company. The unlocked VIP 007 is priced at NT$88,000 (US$2,895), the highest-priced Android phone launched by a Taiwan-based handset market.
