Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE), Siliconware Precision Industries (SPIL), Powertech Technology (PTI) and Sigurd Microelectronics, four Taiwan-based providers of IC packaging/testing services, had consolidated revenues for October slightly increasing on month, according to the companies.
ASE expects its shipments in the fourth quarter of 2011 to drop on quarter by 3-4% due to decreased orders from IDMs, while SPIL and PTI expect their fourth-quarter consolidated revenues to sequentially slip by 4-8% and remain unchanged respectively.
