Taimide Technology, the only Taiwan-based maker of polyimide (PI) film, has reported net profits of NT$71 million (US$2.36 million) for the third quarter of 2011, up 102% on quarter and 34% on year.
For the January-September period, net profits amounted to NT$185 million or NT$1.76 per share, according to a company filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE).
Gross margin for the third quarter stood at 38.84%, the company's highest quarterly gross margin and up from 35.69% recorded a year earlier, the data showed.
