Taiwan-based smartphone vendor HTC and mobile telecom carrier Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) on October 3 jointly unveiled Rhyme, a fashionable smartphone model, for launch in the Taiwan market through FET's contract-bundled sale in mid-October, according to FET.
HTC globally debuted Rhyme in New York on September 20 for launch in the US market through cooperation with Verizon Wireless, with the model featuring a 3.7-inch WVGA LCD touch screen, a Qualcomm MSM8255 1GHz dual-core processor and 1 5-megapixel camera.
FET will be initially the exclusive sales partner for Rhyme, the company indicated. FET will provide its four online platforms of value-added services, S Mart for mobile applications, eBook Town for e-book content, Omusic for download of digital music and Video Store for online video, to promote sale of Rhyme, the company pointed out.
