Backlight unit (BLU) maker Radiant Opto-Electronics and Forhouse have recorded mixed results for January, with Radiant seeing its consolidated revenues slide 10% to NT$4.03 billion (US$138.16 million), while Forhouse's revenues were up 18.6% sequentially to NT$2.24 billion.
Radiant shipped 5.63 million BLUs for notebooks in January, down 9% sequentially. Of which, BLUs for LED notebooks totaled 3.69 million units, increasing 16% on month.
Radiant's January shipments of BLUs for monitors totaled 2.78 million units, a decline of 7% from the previous month, while shipments of BLUs for LED TVs were down 6% to 760,000 units.
