Board of directors of Taiwan-based LED epitaxial wafer and chip maker Arima Optoelectronics on January 24 announced it will reduce capital by 25% to make up for losses. Arima will reduce capital by NT$920 million (US$31.63 million) to NT$2.76 billion.
Arima's December 2010 revenues were NT$90.42 million, up 10.92% sequentially. Revenues for the fourth quarter of 2010 were NT$273 million with net loss of NT$127 million and an EPS of negative NT$0.35.
Revenues for the year totaled NT$1.2 billion, up by about 20% on year. Net loss for the year was NT$468 million with an EPS of negative NT$1.3, an improve from EPS of negative NT$10 in 2009.
