Japan September 2010 fab tool book-to-bill slips to 1.14, says SEAJ

Japan-based manufacturers of semiconductor equipment posted a book-to-bill ratio of 1.14 in September 2010, down from 1.38 in August, according to new figures from the Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ).

The three-month average of worldwide bookings in September were 127.96 billion yen (US$1.58 billion), up 0.4% from the revised August 2010 level and up 107.8% from the 61.57 billion posted in September 2009.

The three-month average of worldwide billings in September 2010 were 112.07 billion yen, up 21.2% from the revised August 2010 level and up 139.1% above the September 2009 billings level.
