Taiwan-based aluminum foil maker Liton Technology has completed equipment installation at its plant in Abazhou of China's Sichuan Province with two new production lines to go online in September, followed by up to 18 lines in the first quarter of 2011. The new facilities should bring in NT$80 million (US$2.52 million) in monthly revenues for the company.

Liton, a subsidiary of aluminum capacitor maker Lelon Electronics, has been active in expanding capacity due to strong demand for aluminum capacitors and a supply shortage of aluminum foil. With its plant in Huizhou at full utilization and the new production lines, market watchers expect the company's monthly revenues to exceed NT$200 million soon.
