Computex 2010: AzureWave debuts solutions for 60GHz WirelessHD technology

The era of WirelessHD is here! AzureWave Technologies, Inc, a global leading wireless solution provider, has debuted full line of 60GHz WirelessHD modules at Computex 2010. The sophisticated WirelessHD solution supports high-definition video/audio signal and data transmission for CE, PC and portable devices at a high-speed data rates of up to 4Gbps.

Incorporating the leading WirelessHD chipsets powered by SiBEAM Inc, AzureWave's line-up of WirelessHD products includes embedded WirelessHD module, external transmitter/receiver box for A/V home systems, plus the world's first digital mini card (DMC) designed just for PCs. With the built-in WirelessHD DMC, PC users will be able to enjoy real-time wireless transmission of uncompressed HD movies or video games on full 1080p displays without compromise.

The WirelessHD specification defines a wireless digital interface for HD consumer electronics, is currently supported by over 45 global technology industry leaders. The newly-announced next-generation WirelessHD 1.1 specification covers updates such as 3D over WirelessHD definition, 10-28 Gbps unprecedented data rate, as well as 4K resolution support, and support for portable and mobile products. Given that the promising WirelessHD technology will carry support for low power mobile devices such as portable media players, smartphones and etc. for enabling a crystal-clear lossless video and audio streaming, AzureWave has also been developing comprehensive WirelessHD module IC solution for the mobile market.
