Computex 2010: Winchip showcasing style with its memory products

During the Computex Taipei 2010 show, Winchip will be highlighting its focus and efforts in the memory module market. The company is introducing a whole new lineup of memory products featuring creative designs, including its Dazzling, Vivid and Robust collections.

In terms of technology, in addition to the low-voltage and high-capacity focus placed on product design, Winchip has modified its product line to achieve overclocking performance and standard JEDEC specifications.

Dazzling Collection

During the Computex show, Winchip will showcase its Dazzling line of DRAM modules, which it calls a must-see collection. The series was developed with the concept of "Share & Smile." Hologram (3D+2D) heat spreaders are applied to help deliver consumer enjoyment beyond merely functional benefits. The initial designs for the series feature Four Seasons and Chinese Opera Mask themes. Winchip believes that end users will be attracted to the products for both the level of performance and amazing designs.

Vivid Collection

The company foresees that DDR3 1600MHz will be the next mainstream frequency and classifies the speed as an individual category. The Vivid line features devices applied with an orange color and green logo. Various capacities and channel options are available with the Vivid collection.

Robust Collection

While a strength of Winchip is its granule screening ability, the company has also extended its development into overclocking features. At the Computex show, the Robust collection will be introduced with speeds up to DDR3 2133MHz.

The collection is ideal for high performance Intel and AMD chipset PC configurations. Moreover, the heat-pipe designed heat spreader provides enhanced thermal solutions for overclockers to pursue performance with stability.
