Taiwan-based Csun Manufacturing, which mainly makes equipment used in the production of PCBs and LCD panels, has revealed plans to take its Guangzhou, China subsidiary public in the next 3-5 years.
Csun's Kunshan plant in China's eastern province of Jiangsu, which focuses on PCB customers, will also extend to the flat-panel display (FPD) sector, according to the company.
Csun said it intends to develop a vertically integrated supply chain for its production in China. It is in talks for a strategic partnership with a sheet metal producer, and is looking to more cooperation with upstream component suppliers.
Csun also indicated PCB maker Wintech Circuit Technology became the first China-based company to be among Csun's top-10 clients in 2009.
Csun saw consolidated revenues for the first quarter of 2010 grow 63% on year to about NT$682 million (US$21.56 million), showing recovery from the downturn a year earlier, according to the company. The equipment maker expects results for the second quarter to remain flat sequentially, and is gearing up for the third-quarter peak season.
