Shipments of 3G/4G mobile broadband devices by Taiwan-based networking/telecom equipment makers are expected to start gaining momentum in 2010, according to industry sources.

Microelectronics Technology (MTI) is expected to ship over 10,000 units of RRHs (remote radio heads) for 3G/4G base stations in the first half of 2010, while its shipments of RF power amplifiers (PAs) will remain robust in 2010, according industry sources

Other makers are expected to gear up shipments of 3G data cards, 3G/Wi-Fi routers, WiMAX CPE products and femtocells, the sources noted.
