Passive component maker Holy Stone's tantalum capacitor production line, which the company purchased from Hitachi in 2009, will start generating revenues in April 2010, according to the company.

Sales of Holy Stone's tantalum capacitors may reach up to NT$800 million (US$25.13 million) in 2010, industry sources have estimated.

The company's shipments of ceramic heat sink substrates, mainly for LED lighting and solar module applications, will start gaining momentum in 2010 after it began small-volume shipments of the substrates in 2009, the company indicated.

Holy Stone is expected to see its consolidated revenues in March to swing back to the level of January 2010, totaling about NT$1.3 billion compared to NT$941 million in February, indicated industry sources.
