Taiwan-based network/communication equipment maker Prime Electronics & Satellitics (PESI) saw consolidated revenues increase 10% on year to NT$840 million (US$26 million) in November, and shipments of STBs (set-top boxes) contributed over 60% to total November revenues, according to company chairman CH Hsu.
For the first 11 months of 2009, revenues totaled NT$7.56 billion, increasing 39.5% from a year earlier, said Hsu, adding that the company aims to generate total revenues of over NT$8 billion in 2009 and NT$10 billion in 2010.
PESI is currently shipping the bulk of its STBs to digital cable TV operators in China, India and other emerging markets, but will begin to ship STBs to cable TV operators in Europe as well as Taiwan in the first quarter of 2010, Hsu indicated.
