Taiwan-based Delta Electronics has obtained a contract from Silicon Valley-based River of Life Christian Church to install a 117KWp (kilowatt-peak) on-grid photovoltaic (PV) system on the roof of the church's buildings located in Santa Clara, California, according to a company press release on October 30.
The PV system will consist of 510 230-watt PV modules produced by its subsidiary DelSolar, Delta indicated.
The PV system is estimated to generate 180,800 kilowatt-hours of electricity a year that will allow the church to save an estimated 25% in power bill, Delta said, adding that the power in excess of own demand will be sold to a local power company.
