Elite Material (EMC) has announced a 10% rise of copper-clad laminate (CCL) ASP for September to reflect increased copper prices. The average copper price has reached US$6,500 per ton.
The company is seeing strong orders due to recovered demand in the PCB market. It has reported consolidated revenues of NT$952 million (US$29.19 million) for August and said it expects revenues to hit a record in September. Market watchers estimate EMC to have a 20% sequential growth in third-quarter revenues as well as a rise in gross margin due to higher utilization rates and product prices.
EMC's revenues in the fourth quarter may stay flat or only have a slight decline from the third, the watchers said.
