First-tier panel makers to see higher-than-expected utilization rates in 1Q09, say sources

The utilization rates at Taiwan's first-tier TFT LCD panel makers, AU Optronics (AUO) and Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO), will be higher than what the companies had expected for the first quarter of this year, according to market sources.
