Asustek Computer plans to launch its second ultra-thin netbook with a 10.1-inch panel, the Eee PC Shell, in April this year. The netbook will have a higher specification than the Eee PC S101, will be easier to carry, and offer longer battery-life, according to a Chinese-language Commercial Times report.
The Shell will be priced around NT$17,000-20,000 (US$486-571), added the paper.
In other news, the report noted that Acer will also launch a 10.1-inch ultra-thin netbook in April, but no further details were revealed.
