Global LED street lamp shipments to more than triple in 2009, says PIDA

Global shipments of LED street lamps in 2009 are estimated to grow 224% to 1.46 million units, with total value rising 99% to US$816 million, according to Taiwan's Photonics Industry & Technology Development Association (PIDA).
