Competition for smartphone third ranking heating up

A number of handset vendors, including High Tech Computer (HTC), Apple, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and LG Electronics, are likely to compete for the third ranking in the global smartphone segment in 2008, according to market sources in Taiwan.
